Hi,

I've recently seen a 16F88 put to the task. I don't work with the 10's or
12's.

What I'd like to find is some good MASTER examples in C.

Don't bother with the 16F84, it's been obsolete for some years. Use the
16F88.

Oliomex has the advantage that they are supported on the Sparkfun
Electronics forum (they sell Olimex boards).

The Microchip PICkit 2 is very good value.

what do you want, a programmer, a debugger, or a development board?

I buy lots of stuff from them, and I resell some of their products.

If you are referring to their tiny-ICD2: I suggest that you consider a
pickit2 instead.

[piclist] USART Transmit Issue

Hi All,

I am facing an issue with the USART Transmit. My code is as shown
below......

The above program gets compiled successfully.

But the result is as follows when checked in the Hyperterminal.......

icrochip Microchip Microchip Microchip Microchip Microchip Microchip
Microchip Microchip

The first character 'M' doesn't gets transmitted on to the
Hyperterminal, but in the rest of the sequence the word 'Microchip '
gets transmitted fine.

Any idea why the first character 'M' doesn't get transmitted on to the
hyperterminal?

I am using the MPLAB version 8, C18 compiler Version 3.14, PIC18F4523
Microcontroller.

I gave approx 3 seconds of delay before transmitting.
